How long will a granite cutting saw blade last?

 It looks like I can dry cut a 1-1/4" thick go out of of granite with a circular saw and the right well-disposed of blade. How long will these blades last?

 You can dry cut granite with a 4" grinder with a diamond tile cutlass on it. Serrated style is conquer. They run about $35 each and will last you maybe 20- 7 foot covet rips. It will still do more but it gets slower and slower. Use dispirited tape along both sides of cut front line.

 I impecuniousness to make a 4"x48" granite backsplash 3.5"x48". Does anyone recall if I could use my existing tile cutting wet saw to do this? The backsplash is 3/4" thick.

 You didn t say what rate of saw you had .. Even a bigger saw w/ say a 1.5 hp motor will do it but your period is the problem.. If you can rig a flat skin for the pc to glide out onto and your saw is big enough you can do it .. Also a very honourable blade and go slow..If it was a marble or any stone w/ a lot of

Bird's bikes fly in opening rounds

The Penrith-based collaborate fielded Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne and Stuart Easton for the vernissage round of the British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch but horrid weather conditions saw the event cut short with only one race running.

Byrne, a former coupled champion qualified the PBM Kawasaki ZX-10R on the front row of the grid but dropped back to seventh arrangement after being hampered by the wet weather.

Easton retired with set-up problems but Bird’s other rider, Northern-Irishman Keith Smallholder, fought his way through the pack to take a fantastic victory in the opening National Superstock table.

“I’m absolutely speechless with Keith’s performance,” said yoke-owner Bird at the finish.

“To come through from way down the field to lead in the start few laps is just unbelievable and is a fantastic start to the season for us. I’d forgotten what it was like to win and this is well-founded the tonic we need for the team for the rest of the season.
