would NiMH battery cells work in a drill that came with NiCD batteries?

 i am gonna make restitution for the cells in 2 18 volt batteries and would like to identify if it works and a website i can get them tight and i ain't buying the whole battery it bring in around $80 each

 NiCd is old technology. NiMh is new technology, a replacement for the old, moot NiCd technology. Yes, NiMh will profession just fine, your charger will fondle it just fine, and no, I don't have any websites for you.

 justifiable wondering if there is anyone on answers that might identify about the possible max discharge rates for customary AA size batts of the NiMH typewrite? i have some DEWalt tools like drills and am sickly of fixing the NiCd batt packs. i bust i could fit about 15-16 AA's

 Manufacturers don't mention that parameter. I'd test it with a multimeter. They on the whole have a 20 amp range, precisely short the battery with the ammeter (for a very curtailed time) and see what you get.
